A Reddit user says a fight over chores and groceries ended her relationship much faster than she ever expected, because once her boyfriend said the quiet part out loud, she could not unhear it. In the original post, the 30-year-old woman wrote that she had been with her boyfriend for two years and had moved in with him about six months earlier. She said they originally agreed to split bills and chores fairly, but things changed after he got a small promotion and pay bump. According to her, he started acting like earning a little more money somehow meant he should do less at home, leaving dishes, laundry, and groceries to pile up while she handled more and more of the daily work.
